The Parables of the Hidden Treasure and the Pearl
Matthew 13
44'The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.
45'Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. 46When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it."
On Sunday our pastor, Palmer Chinchen, preached on desire and what our desire is for each of us (you can listen to the sermon here). For us, our desire is bringing our baby home. Right now, Tony is in the garage selling some of our things from Craig's List. We are thankful for all of our donations and we are selling those as well, but we are also selling some things that are ours, all for the sake of our little treasure and pearl until we bring her home. But you know what, it doesn't bother me that we're selling our stuff, because it's stuff. Thanks God again, for this journey we are on. I wouldn't trade it for anything.
