We really thought we would be farther along on our journey by now. We've spent a lot of time talking with different people and agencies and expected one path to jump out and shout, "This is the way that you need to go!", but it hasn't happened that way. Which means that we continue to keep this secret from our families and friends, and it isn't easy. Tony and I both seem to have been asked quite often in the past weeks if we were done having kids yet. We probably have been asked about that for years, yet now it's a bit more complicated, and very hard to answer right now.
So we wait. We were warned that we would wait through the adoption process, but I wasn't prepared to wait for the process to even start. Tony feels that God is leading us to adopt, but that it really doesn't matter to Him where we adopt from. Bringing a child into our family is His will for us regardless if that child is from Ethiopia or Chandler. We just need to choose a path, and follow Him down it.
