23 Days of Ethiopia: Day 16
I'm at a loss for words tonight.
Today my spirit has been crushed, but I know that the days will pass, and soon we will again be 8 days, and then 7 days, and then eventually Allison will be in our arms, and then eventually she will be home. And we will have journeyed this path that is lighted with prayer.
But I am thankful, that even as my heart is heavy beyond what I think I can bear, I can go to Him in prayer, and He will grant me comfort and peace.
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." -Jesus (Matthew 11:28-30)

Sara, I am so sorry to hear about the delay! May God grant you supernatural patience to make it through the waiting. Praying for you...

Sara,
ReplyDeleteMy prayers are with you and Tony, as always, but since I heard the news of the delay, I have been in prayer throughout the day and night. My heart weeps for you both. I do know that this too shall pass and it will be but a memory. Just like during labor and delivery, God will take away the pain and replace it with love and a new life. I love you both so much.
