The moment.
I'm going to take a break from the nature and people of Ethiopia because my heart is breaking for one very special person in Ethiopia. Friday marked two weeks until we leave, and now that the end is in sight, but heart literally aches to hold my sweet Allison in my arms and bring her home.
Our new friend, Wendi, played the role of driver, translator, guide, and even photographer. He took pictures for us in those first priceless moments of meeting Allison. And while we still can't post pictures of her, this picture of Tony, capturing my first holding her in my arms, takes me back to the moment. And I can't wait to be behind the blue gate once again.
And then, last night I realized that three weeks from last night, we will finally be putting Allison to bed in our home. Three short, yet at the same time, so very long, weeks.
we adopted from ethiopia and i found your blog after seeing a comment about it on FB from one of the families we traveled with. your pics are GREAT! but i HAD to tell you, the pastor at your church taught at my tiny little school in WI and i am pretty sure she was my music teacher in like 5th grade or something!!! CRAZY!
